Pulse International is looking for a senior Consultant Physician to head the Medical Institute of Al Ain Hospital.

The successful candidate will be a Consultant Physician with at least ten years post-graduate experience to include experience as head of a Medical Department and in hospital management.

Al Ain hospital has 412 acute-care beds and is the Accident & Emergency referral centre for the region. The new Al Ain Hospital - due for completion in 2013 - will have 688 beds. It will be the Regional Centre for Rehabilitation with the first stroke unit in the UAE. It will be a Centre of Excellence for Trauma, Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, a research centre and teaching hospital, affiliated to the United Arab Emirates University

"Healing Oasis" is the theme of the hospital, which aims to combine the friendliness of an oasis village with a state-of-the-art medical service.

Al Ain is close to the border of Oman, approximately halfway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and is known as the ”˜Garden City' of the Persian Gulf.
