Doctors in Emergency Medicine (A&E)

HCL International is currently recruiting for Doctors in Emergency Medicine (A&E) to work in a newly built and busy (2006) NHS Trust based in London.

The Trust serves a population of around 700,000 people, from a wide range of social and ethnic groups, within the NHS London (Strategic Health Authority) comprising four Local Authorities, five local Primary Care Trusts and a Mental Health Trust, making it one of the largest acute hospital trusts in England, employing over 5000 staff.

This is a modern state of the art facility, which has been designed following close consultation between Architects and Doctors, Nurses and Therapists and has been designed around the needs of the patient. The design reflects special attention to the process flow of the patients through the hospital. The design team have been very prescriptive about departmental adjacencies and minimizing travel distances for both patients and staff. The hospital covers an area equal to 12 football pitches and has over 4500 rooms.

ABOUT THE JOB

This post of Doctor in Emergency Medicine is working in the Middle Grade rota. This is not a training post.

The successful candidate will have the necessary experience in Accident & Emergency to work the middle grade rota. They should have experience at SHO level or equivalent in relevant specialties, for example orthopaedics medicine, geriatrics. Experience in paediatrics other specialties such as ophthalmology ENT and anaesthetics would be an advantage.

The candidate should hold current ATLS and ALS or have arranged a place on the course.
